Although there is no name listed with this number on the Caller ID I know who it is—Pinnacle Collection Agency. Pinnacle began harassing me in summer 2010 about an unpaid debt that I know I did not owe. My credit report says I have no outstanding debts but they insist I owe them money. Nothing gets through to these people. After months of their calls, usually 4-5 per day every day, I finally found out what debt they alleged I owed (which I didn't) when they spoke my sister's name (she and my niece live in a different state), asked if I knew her, and mispronounced it. I put 2 and 2 together and realized this was about a car loan I cosigned for my niece 5 years ago and was paid off in 2009 when she totaled the car. I didn't admit to the Pinnacle Rude Person that I recognized my sister's name, then convinced them they had the wrong person. They quit calling. Finally. Unfortunately they've restarted their campaign of harassment the past few weeks beginning March 2011, this time calling me by my nickname (!!) like we were old buddies and said they had a deal for me. I once again told them I have no debts and owe no money then promptly hung up. I really dread going through this again with Pinnacle. They are relentless. They call from a variety of numbers across the US and a toll free number, trying to fool you into answering the phone. Every last one of the Pinnacle callers are unbelievably rude and aggressive. Now when I see a number on my Caller ID I don't recognize, I assume it's one of Pinnacle's minions and do not answer the phone. You can't reason with them and getting rude right back at them doesn't work. I filed a complaint last summer with my state Attorney General and of course nothing has been done to stop scam artist Pinnacle.
