They say they are from Chase creditcard ,keep calling looking for someone by the name of Elise..No one lives here by that name... Weird thing is 2 months ago someone called for same person Looking for information on refinancing a home. So either this is spam or someone is using my number.

This no reason why Chase does not have a caller ID for its dispute dept.

This is not a scam. I had disputed a claim and Chase was following up. I called the number on the back of my card and the confirmed that the call was from me and they transferred me to the disputes department.

Not a scam. Called the number on back of my card and they said the fraud dept had been trying to reach me with regard to a charge dispute I put in a couple months ago.

They called a hotel about getting a refund for a guest back in August who hadn't stayed.

Right after I filed a dispute at Chase Visa, someone called me from the
above number, which is different from the one on the back of my card.
To my best belief, this is scam. Be careful.

Genuine No. They are the Chase Disputes Dept that followed up with me on my merchant dispute query.

I called the number on back of my card, instead of the 844 number they left since I had recently filed a fraud case. Chase told me they did call and transferred me to their disputes dept. I see a lot of comments saying it's a scam. Just be smart and call the number on your card, not the number they leave.

Definitely not a scam. Call your Chase Dispute Dept. The call is used to validate your dispute with a merchant. They will put your dispute on hold until you call them.

1-844-540-8023 is Chase Card Services. We had a payment dispute and they were calling to follow up.

They kept asking for my husband on my phone not his. I kept saying what did you need and they wouldn't tell me. She said I can leave you a number for him to call us back. I said no if you can't tell me anything, you don't need to speak to him!!! I hung up...

Called, did not leave a message. Therefore they deserve to be blocked.

After receiving a voicemail I called the number on the back of my card. At first the customer service person at Chase couldn't find where they tried to contact me. After some digging he did see that the dispute department did call me. It was regarding some fraud on my card the month before. Not a scam and I'm not involved in a conspiracy to steal other people's money.

I received a call "regarding [my] recent inquiry," and was told to call back. The number provided was not the Chase number and their hours were not those any normal business would have (Sunday to Thursday???). Definitely a scam.

I called Chase. It is a scam. People saying that it is legit must be in on it or gave their personal and bank information that will allow that scammers to steal from them. Only call chase from the number on your card or statement!
