Area code 855 is a future area code reserved for toll-free calls in which the calling party is not charged. Instead, the telephone carrier charges the cost of the call to the called party. This is a Non-Geographic number.

Insurance, credit reports, cell phone service, store sales, lower interest rates, improve credit scores. Junk and scam callls, collection agencies who have no business calling, selling other serices, the Do-Not-Call is worthless, no enforcement. Another of the 50 calls I have kept records on since Jan 31, 2012. I have another 30 blocked on my phone system, can't get rid of them. I am 72 years old, don't solocit these calls, live alone, no one else reqeust these calls. Often callers just hang up if you answer. Never leave a message.

No caller i.d. information, no message, just lots of calls, when the machine answers, just wait until it shuts off. Very annoying. call at all hours of the day and night
