(866) 359-2940

I called this number back today. 866-359-2940 claims to be a collection agency that due to law is unable to leave a message for those they call. The name given today for this company by a person named Cindy is..."State Collection Agency". When I asked what state had such a law forbidding the company from leaving any message she began insisting I give her my name and phone number so she could further assist me.

When I explained to her I just wanted to know what state had that no message law and nothing else, she began lecturing me as to why she needed my info. I also told her I never received even one piece of mail from her company showing a so called debt owed. Cindy claimed their company sends out bills of collection all the time. Explained to Cindy hard copy would make her more believable and I have received nothing from State Collection Agency nor any other company. (I owe no one)

I now informed Cindy that since no bill of collection in writing and no messages left when calling my phone, I would have to report to my state this series of harrassing phone calls. I still every call on my caller ID showing date and times. The calls come at ALL hours so are therefore considered harrassment by my state. She became quite annoyed to say the least and said the calls were legal to which I responded, we'll see what my state says about those middle of the night calls.
