1-866-442-0536 is NCO collection agency. They try to collect on old debts.

Technically, the phone number wasn't 1-866-442-0536, it was: 1-1-866-442-0536, listing "Unavailable" as the caller.
Would this be an oversees number? An error on the Caller ID? The Men on the Hill? Oh! Maybe the Men in Black? Perhaps it was a call to activate my programming (I'm a sleeper agent)...?

* Picked up on the third ring.
* Barely got out my greeting, "Hel...", before I heard a -click- immediately followed by dead air.
* I held the receiver, stunned by the odd nature of the call (12 digit phone number, no one speaking, etc), & after a short while, I got the !BEEP! !BEEP! !BEEP!, making me hang up.

I just want to know how this phone number can even exist.
And, I suppose it'd be nice to know WHY I'm being called.
