I got a call from this number yesterday but nobody was there. I got a call from this number again today and they asked for my wife. He said that he was calling about our card at Utah Central Credit Union, but couldn't share any info about why he was calling, just that it was a business matter about my wife's account. When I asked how I could verify that he was from Utah Central CU, he hesitated and stammered. I asked for the callback number, he gave me (866) 444-1605.

I called my wife and we called them back. They said they were calling from "Card Services" and wanted to verify our phone number. The lady gave us the last 4 digits of our card number, then wanted to verify our address and gave us the house number and wanted us to tell them the rest of our address and provide the last 4 digits of my wife's SSN. When my wife told the person that she was uncomfortable giving the information over the phone, the lady said that she was calling about a balance due on the account, but that her computer was down and that she would call back at a future date. She mentioned that she was calling on behalf of Chartway Credit Union, but couldn't tell us which credit union we belonged to. The Chartway group recently acquired Utah Central CU.

With the fact that she had the last 4 of our card number, our address, and my wife's name... plus, it is possible that we missed a payment because we haven't seen a bill since the acquisition, it is possible that the call was legitimate. We'll still check with our brick & mortar credit union to verify.

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone. There was no one on the other end. Another website reports that the caller says they are from Chartway Federal Credit Union, but may be a scam.

my phone will ring, and when you said hello they will not say anything. This happen many times. This very prostrating cause, sometimes you are busy, stop what you are doing because just answer the phone.
