They've called me 6 times in the last 3 days. I haven't answered. I haven't been to a hospital since 1999 so I'm pretty sure it's not a delinquent bill.
Credit Watch is worse than a street mugger. I have a hospital bill that has been addressed with the hospital, and payments are arranged and on-time. They started calling a couple of weeks ago with "we have a beneficial program for you to participate in, that can lower your hospital bill by as much as 5-percent'. This recording kept showing up on my answering machine. Since the bill was under control, I didn't return the call. This kept on, twice a day, for almost 2-weeks. Finally, I blocked the number. Two days later, I have this message on my answering machine from an 866-number, "This is Credit Watch Services, and you have a delinquent issue that you must address. Contact us immediately, before we turn this over to our legal department'. So, I call. I explain to them, this bill was NEVER delinquent, and is being paid currently. They say, 'ok, we'll note this in our system'. I ask, 'by the way, please send me a copy of the hospital statement that you apparently have on me, so I can address it with the hospital'. They hang up on me.
Be VERY CAREFUL of this company, they are apparently tied into the hospitals, but are trying to collect on valid current accounts, without being notified by the creditor to do so. MAKE THEM SEND YOU A VALID COMPANY BILL, FIRST, and talk to your creditor and attorney before you go doing anything more with them - they appear to be unscrupulous to the point of committing fraud online.
States to call back and have your phone number ready for identification purposes
