Someboday called from this number, saying calling from BOA and wanted to talk about identity theft and requesting to subscribe for identity theft service for 30 days trial period for free and this service you won't get it online. I got suspicious because identiy theft service from BOA is free for 30 days.
I told them not interested and disconnected the call.
Also informed BOA customer service also.

I received a call from this number but I didn't answer it. When I googled it, I came across this website and read that people were saying the caller identified themselves as a Bank of America representative. I had just used a BofA ATM at the St. Louis airport and received this call about 30 minutes later. Had I answered the phone call, I probably would have thought it was legit since I'm not from St. Louis, so I would have thought it was a good thing they were calling to check if someone had stolen my information. Sending a message to BofA now about it!

I didn't answer the phone when they called the first time. So they called me immediately back, and I still didn't answer. When i tried calling the number back all i got was a recording saying no agents were available and to leave my number and they would call me back. I'm glad i looked up the number online and found this to see that it is obviously a scam!

A lady with a southern accent called and wanted my BofA account info and wanted to talk about people stealing my identity. It sounded a bit shady so I didn`t give her any information.

Missed a call from this number. I called it back, and had a messege telling me to leave my number. No company name was given when I called; Most likely a scam.

I got the call from the woman who said she was from Bank of America (whom I happen to use as my
bank) and that she wanted to talk to me about people stealing other people information. I was busy shopping and told her I didn't have time to talk to her right now. She said she would call me back and
discuss it even if she had to do it on her own time.

I got a call at 9PM from 866-696-5487 and it was a woman who aggressively asked for my name and wanted to confirm who I was, and then mentioned that she was with Bank of America and wanted to discuss something. Unfortunately I confirmed that it was me, and then she asked if it was a good time to talk. I was feeling weird about the call so I said it wasn't a good time and that I could call back when I was ready. When I asked if that was OK she said sir we'll just give you a call back. And I said well is it important or can you just say it real quick and let me go, and she just said sir we'll just call you back later. So I said OK and that was that.

After confirming with Bank of America that the number is not in any way a part of their company, I also found this site which helped me come to the conclusion that it was a fraudulent company trying to get information from me.

DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIS NUMBER! It's a scam.

Someone probably hacked into BofA servers to get account information like basic things such as just name and phone number, and then they call you and make you believe it's the bank since no one else would know your number and know what bank you use. So this is actually a big offense and should be criminally investigated. Unfortunately my report to BofA probably won't do anything to stop them. If it wasn't by hacking, then someone on the inside is giving out personal account information. Since it seems like they are claiming to be all sorts of different banks, they probably have some kind of hacker or someone with connections who illegally obtains your name and phone number in order to fool you. Unfortunately just a name and phone number is enough for them to play tricks on you. Always be aware of this kind of trickery.
