I was getting calls from 1-866-796-6124 on my iPhone. i never answered and decided to call the number back from a landline at work. To my surprise, a very nice lady answered and asked my name. I told her that I wasn't giving up my name untill she explained to me who she was and whay I should be interested in giving my name to her. She explained to me that she was with a company called ELEAD and if you have visited a car dealership in the last few days and gave them your phone number, then that's why you're getting called. She did offer to put me on her do not call list and was very polite about the entire issue.

did not leave a message. just hung up. I've visited a dealership just recently to get my state inspection. it could be them I'm not sure.

This has been coming in to my wife's cell since visiting a Honda dealership in Houston. I haven't called it back but have informed the dealership and they advised that it wasn't them...still, something is dodgy about it.

I receive calls at least 6 times per day, beginning at 8:00am through 9:00pm. No one is on the receiving end. I tried to call back, and the call is immediately terminated. How do I stop receiving calls from this number?

called twice today I didn't answer. I am registered on the national do not call list, but I guess it doesn't matter.

I also was called from this number the day after visiting a dealership (Honda).
I wasn't here to answer but they didn't leave a message.

Purchased a car from a dealership and did some online research before hand. I left my cell number with several of these car sites. I started getting "nobody answers" from this number. This morning I got a very suspicious cal and discovered after the call that it was form this number. They mentioned that they were from one of the dealerships I have dealtt with. They claimed to be customer satisfaction. They said the call was being recorded. They asked me how my experience was at this dealership. They asked what car I was looking at. This really made me suspicious. I asked why the dealership does not know what car I purchased (from her reaction, she was not even aware that I purchased a car). She claimed to be associated with the dealership. When I asked again, she said thank you and hung up. I think it is a scam. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO A CALLER FROM THIS NUMBER!
