Received a call from this number, came up " toll free ca" on my caller ID.
They asked for an individual who is not at this number, I explained that my phone number was a "recycled" number and I would like my number removed from this list,. the person on the other end asked if i knew what list,.. i replied no, and he hung up the phone.

This number is being spoofed by Portfolio Recovery Service, a Debt Collector trying to create an account.

I got a call from this number today. I asked how much money goes to support the troops.
Answer was 20% for actual support and 80% for administrative cost! A scam!

According to charity ratings, these guys look very fishy & there have been accusations made that they are in fact a collection agency posing as a charity. here's the quote from the Better Business Bureau Review of Charities (www.bbb.org):

This number came up on our Caller ID today at 7:30 PM. I, too, am registered for the do not call list. I've learned NOT to pick up unless I recognize the name and/or phone number. They never leave a message!

Years ago, it was not uncommon to see a police whistle next to a phone. As soon as the "uninvited" party started to speak they received an eardrum-breaking shriek from that whistle - funny, they never called our house again! Let's ALL start a new trend substituting a bull horn/door alarm for a whistle!

They called wanting to send a donation card to get donations to send care packages to soldiers. I told the guy he could send me whatever he wanted but I would research his company before I would send money to make for sure they were legit. As soon as I said that he told me to have a good day and hung up!
