Automotive repair.
This caller knew my name ( first and last) being that it was an 1-866 number and i was in the middle of shopping i said yes. They stated that they were from the Hyundia dealer calling center and wanted to arrange a service appointment. They requested my email address which i provided and yes, i received a returned email from this caller with all the trimmings from Hyundia, a oil change for $29.95. Early the next morning it dawn on me to check the number,i've call several times with no response it just cuts off. Oh, i do want to mention
i do have a Hyundia.
I'm so tired of this company keep calling my phone.

I have set up my phones on the "National Do Not Call Registry" For at least six years. And for most of those years I have been reporting calls from the same firm, which alternately calls for credit card debt remediation and car extended warranties. Reporting them to the NDNCR a dozen or more times has had zero effect.
After reading a a suggestion elsewhere, I tried to set up "Selective Call Forwarding" on my home phone to actually forward the incoming call from the offenders at 866-887-0841 ... to 866-887-0841.
My carrier's Service Rep tells me that for some reason their system won't accept that number for the function; he couldn't explain why. But he had a flash of inspiration. Working on my account setup, he forwarded the calls to the 800 number for the Federal Do Not Call Registry. I hope it works.
Who says corporate geeks don't have a sense of humor?
If enough people do this it could generate some action...or not.
