The 'caller' identified herself as Rachel Murckland (sp?) from something like Market Adjustments. I knew it was a scam from the outset. First, this is a recording so there is no possibility of responding to the call. It is false, from the outset, that staying on the line to listen to the recording means you agree that you ARE the person they are trying to contact. I work in a law office and I'm not sure this is legal. We don't contact people using these methods if there is actually a legal action in process.

They want FULL SSN, my complete address and my sons birthday! Not sure what they want as I have no debt. Wellllll...I have LOTS of debt, but nothing in collection!!!

when you call them back the recording immediately asks for your full social security number. ummmm, no.
