Here's my issue, they continuously call, pay 5 days early each month IN the store - not my problem they don't credit on time. NOW i come home and find a letter stating the benefits of paying on time...WTF are you doing at my home????
Conn's should realize that even if i were paying late, they are still benefiting -- i think it's safe to assume that they collect late charges.
You have 10 days from the due date to pay Conns. When you do not pay on the due date they will call you 10 times a day and even when you do make the payment on time, they wait days to apply to your account just so they can hassle you. It must be nice to have nothing else to do. They are great when you want to buy something, but, just cross them once and you are living in hell.
Bottom line is common courtesy do a dog meaning just talk to people with respect and you'll get futher, a lesson conns did not learn. The consumer is not the only one profiting from the sale and Conns has failed to realize that which is why the goverment is on there case now. I dealt with them one time and learned to stop answering the phone, I make my payment when the funds are available and that's that. Lesson learned, don't finance period, do what I now do just pay cash if you don't have the cash then wait till you do. It's really not worth the hassle or what you end up paying with interest. It's all a scam.
If you can't make payments on time then don't finance furniture. Easy as that. What if someone borrowed money from you and agreed to make payments every month but you had to call and remind them every time a payment was due just to get your money. Come on people, bet you weren't complaining at the store when they approved you for that new TV or refrigerator. It's easy as hell to get financed at Conns and all you have to do to keep them off your back is make your payments on time. If you want to avoid interest then pay it off early with no penalty.
If you miss a payment by 2 days trust me they will call you. The representatives are highly unprofessional and will often insult you slyly. If you tell them you will make a payment when you can they will say things like "So are you enjoying your couch" or "How's the picture quality on your hdtv." If one person can't get you to make a payment they will unknowingly let another supervisor listen to the call and then cold transfer you without warning. They call from 1-866-927-6209. Out of respect for privacy I will refrain from giving the 2 employees names who insulted me.
