I GOT THE SAME, SAYING I HAD TO PAY THEM $475.00 I CALLED THE DETECTIVE AND REPORTED THEM. NOW THEY ARE CALLING FROM619-618-2144 SAYING HE IS JOHN FROM HG LEGAL SO GET READY THEY JUST CHANGED THERE NUMBER THAT THEY CALL FROM.

Say they are lawyers but nothing but someone in a call center in india.

I received a call from someone claming to be fraom a cooper law firm. They had a heavy Indian accent and I could hardly understand them. He said his name was kenneth. They asked me my name and then reattled off my email and street address which i had just recently put on a loan application online. I never got a loan but now these people are calling me saying I did and now I am being sued for the money in california.

I live in colorado however and did not get a loan. So i know this is a scam but am frusterated that nothing is being doen to shut these people down.

An Indian accent called me and saying that he is from Federal Investigation Department, and there is a case downloading against my name and 3 files against my social security number. This is an emergency call.

When I call back - he is asking me to pay over $300 to close my case. And he gave me a case number. Such a scam...

This man said he was from Cooper Law Firm and that he had a lawsuit against me in the State of California. I asked him what it was for he said unpaid internet loans, I asked for details and he kept me on hold for 10 min, came back and said there were 3 allegations, I asked by who and he said Pay Day Loans. I told him I have never taken a loan from Pay Day loans nor have I ever received anything in writing. He said he sent an email, which he did not. I told him I think this is a scam and he said I need pay $475 dollars today or it will go to court and cost me over $3K, I said I want the details in writing and hung up.
