They have called several times wanting me to buy house insurance but have never said anything just hung up
I recently tried to get a quote for car insurance

I filled out (today) form seeking insurance quotes on an insurance comparison web site (started at bankrate.com). Soon thereafter, I got a call from this number (among others). Including this number, they all leave no message. It seems likely (based on searches for this number and the proximity to the quote request) that they are associated with my quote request.

If they want to be moire legitimate, they should leave a message about who they are, and I will call them back. They should also provide valid caller id. Otherwise, they get blocked and ignored.

So this is probably some company associated with the insurance industry. No idea how reputable they are.
