Mr. Goldsteen called my Job threaten to sevre me with papers and that I need to make a payment arrangement or else they are going to purse legal action , at first i was really scared but once I looked on google and yahoo and types in C.A.R. & Associates aka Chase Asset Recovery 5165 Broadway Ste , TOOO MANY SCAMED THINGS POPPED UP BE AWARE THEY ARE CALLING FROM 18772869269

A person named Jack Peterson called my house today demanding he needed to talk to me about an "investigation". When I returned the call - I would not tell him who was calling but demanded they tell me who THEY were - which of course they would not so I hung up. Clearly a scam and I told them as much....

A person name Scott M called 4 times this morning demanding payment and for me to call the number 1-877-484-7025 asap or I will get a suppena at home or work. This person called at 7:30 this morning (iillegal) and verbablly threatned me. Would not tell me the client name. Called on husband's cell phone, no invading his privacy. About twenty min ago call from Scott M's partner tring to verifiy my birthday. They (?) have been calling us since last oct and this is the ist time we have a phone number attached and now we find out it is a scam for infor mation and for money.FTC complaint filed (3 other times) on bogus 951 number they used last year.

3 days ago mr Goldsteen, also called robert luke calls my friend @ work & threatens her to serve her,& I legal summons for check fraud -payup or go to jail .877-484-7025.I called him back with the case #& he tells me the same thing -pay up on a credit card now or go to jail for check fraud..I then looked up on the internet and found out it is not check fraud it is a loan-blackmail is illegal in all 50 states...Today I get a message on my phone that says-this is county legal services & they are coming to serve me if I do not pay the client@ 877-484-7025..mr goldsteen. So I call him and he gets angry and mouthy with me-cause I told him I knew the law and the marshals/server out here is not called county legal services & i filled a complaint w /bbb and tx attorney generals office for all these threats ...etc..If you take out a loan with these payday loan people-they are like sharks to get the money or interest back! You can sue them for harassment and stress -but you have to have it on tape-the treats etc.. good luck!

Same thing happened to me. The guy who called first was the same who answered the phone after dialing the number the number he gave me. They always answer the phone as Investigations, Legal Department, etc. just to scare people. I let them know about my rights under the FCRA. I tried hard to find the information, but I got no success at doing that. I called my local Office of the Attorney General and I was advised to contact them back to get their information or face consequences. The called me at 3:21Am, 4:48AM, 6:03AM, and 8:38AM. I got sick of this people, and finally after an intensive search I was able to find their info which I'm sharing with all of you, so you can send them stop and cease letters.

Another advise, please check your state's statue of limitations. In Louisiana for example, after 3 years they have no right to collect a debt. In such letter you must add that they are not supposed to threat you by saying you will be arrested, prosecuted, bring you to court, etc. Please do not fall for that. THEY CANNOT THREAT YOU!! That's illegal. Record the conversations and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and your local Office of the Attorney General.

A guy name Jordan called and said a company named BMG-LAZER LENDING hired them to collected a debt. When calling him back to get more information they answer the phone without any business name and refer you to Jordan who sound polite but threaten you that you will be serve at your job and place of residence. I know I dont owe these people nothing cause I had called every collection agency I paid in full and they never heard of these people. They just full of it.

Call came over Caller ID as "Restricted". A man identified himself as John Steiner. He was very polite and pleasant but totally full of sh**. He told me he had paperwork to serve on me for fraud and bad checks and that he had to serve them on my HR department. After explaining to him that I no longer worked there and that he could serve them at my home address he gave me a phone number and a case file I could refer to when calling the "client". He told me he would pour a large cup of coffee and sip it with a straw while waiting to hear back from them.

I told him he was full of it and there could be no criminal charges related to an unpaid debt. He asked that I please not get mad at him as he was just doing his job as a process server. Legitimate process servers do not work this way. If they have paperwork to serve you, they simply serve you. They don't sit there with your paperwork and drink coffee while you try to work a deal with the plaintiff.

This is all BS to scare people into paying the collection agency. I didn't call the number he gave me because I know it's all a scam (877 484 7025).

Received a call stating they were providing legal notification of a check that was written from my bank account. Called back they answered the phone as if it was private number. No business name or identification. They wanted me to give them my bank info to verify they had the right account. They would not give me any information on the account they supposedly had. They also said failure to provide the information would result in a legal type order being sent to my home or my work. I told them I would gladly wait for the "legal type" order and respond when it arrived.

Got 3 calls today, caller Id unavailable. I called back and they said the call was made in reference of "a check" and they need my info. hahaha...
