its a scam collection agency (fraud agency)

Keeps calling me saying I owe Charter Communications around 400 dollars. I said "Ok send me a bill in the mail, I will verify this information on my end and then make sure this bill gets paid" keep in mind I have never had Charter, nor do I owe them money. The guy on the other line ended up asking me if I would just pay with my credit card at a settelment price today, but I maintained my "not giving my credit card information over the phone" and then he hung up on me after I told him I wanted to be sure I wasn't being scamed. Thank God for SmartPhones and the "Black List" it just shows they called in my logs, but never rings through...huge help!
