The exact same thing just happened to me and I did not give any info. I hope they don't call back.
Caller said that they were from UCSB and were calling on behalf of UCLA Medical Center. Asked for my date of birth and tried to tell me I had a debt of over $400. Before giving my DOB, I tried asking them what this was regarding, and all they could tell me was a debt. After that I just hung up.
exactly the same happened to me ... No way I am going to fall for their scam.
they told me I owed UCLA money. I have never been to UCLA in my life! She refused to give me the name of the company, the address, or any other pertinent info unless i gave her all my info. A complete bogus scam! do not give them any info!!!
