I just got this phone last night and instead of using my old number i went ahead and switched to a new one. this was around 11:30pm last night, this number called me at 9:00am. i didnt answer it but who ever it was didnt leave a voicemail either.

I am sure that it is a Verizon Wireless rep that was calling you. I had a similar call after I called and complained about their service. Probably just a survey recorded
After my gmail was hacked, the cell # associated with it,(mine) started getting calls from odd numbers and VZW receipts started coming from the usual (no return no.) and from a 900 number dated, down to the same minute. When "confusion desuaders shockers" appeared as the caller's name (something I thought only I could do) it seemed too creepy. I dropped the service. Try to explain that to your CC co. and maintain a plausible composure %)~ I gave up trying to regain control of my Master google account
