When I refused to give the info the wanted and asked them not to call, the caller said that she would personally be calling everyday until she got the verification she requested
Same thing here. Calls the practice. We tell them we are corporate and don't give out any info unless they send something in writing. They are legitimate alright, a legitimate scam. Anyone who's legit can go through PECOS but all these scammers want to do is sell your info. Reported to BBB
Asked my name and how many doctors in the location and if there are multiple locations. Said it was for CME purposes. Sound strange.

Actually it is a legitimate medical directory for continuing medical education providers. The reason why you are unable to reach anyone back is because it is an outbound call center, and thus, you are calling back a number that does not take incoming calls, but they are not selling anything. If you listen to the caller, they do give the company name, SK&A, and since you have the internet, it IS easy to look up the company and the MAIN phone number where you CAN actually call, speak to someone and leave a message.
called to ask about our pharmacy moving address to have her update info. she was very quick and nonresponsive to questions. asked for me by name. tried to ask her questions and she hung up. tried to call back and no answer, just rang about 20 times. caller id came up as SK-A
I work in a hospital, and these folks just called to verify that their list was up to date "for CMEs" - ?? What does that mean? Anyway, some of the information was inaccurate, but she was talking so fast that I really didn't feel like interrupting and correcting her. Threw me off guard when I answered the phone when she asked for me by name. I never give my name when answering a call from someone I don't know, even tho it's company policy. The people who made that policy don't have to deal with these idiots every day. Besides, giving your name will only let the caller give you credit for authorizing something or ordering something that you don't want. Been there, done that. Times must be tough to make a living that way.
