I got the same call. This clown couldn't give a single answer to any of my questions that didn't sound ridiculous. Luckily I never gave this asshole even the slightest bit of information. The call ended when I said "You do realizes how strange this call sounds by now right?". He said "well alright then... you better call your family members and make sure they're alright.", and then hung up. Hopefully he will get a terrible disease and die a slow, agonizing death.

Mexican guy called, something about an accident...i asked for info...he gave none...i said I'm calling the police and hung up. Called police, they did nothing. My family is unharmed, thank God.

I got the same call as Tracey Carman. The caller ( Sounded like Hispanic male) claimed that my daughter had been in an accident. They did ask for money. I hung up and called my daughter, and she was at work and had not been in any accident. I reported the call to the police, and they did file a report, but seemed to think that it is unlikely that anything will be done.

This occurred to my mother-in-law and they told them they were holding our phone and were told to call her because we had been in an accident.

Caller said "Thank goodness you answered, there has been a terrible accident. Do you have a son or daughter that drives? (I answered no) or a brother? (I answered yes) He said give me his name so I can make sure I'm calling the correct person. (I said , you give me the name and I will verify), he said no. (I said if you are with the police, you can give me the info), he responded that he was not a police officer". That is when I hung up and did a reverse look -up and called AA&T. They suggested I call my local police dept. and report it. They said it was a scam, and no report would be filed because it wouldn't lead to an investigation. I hung up before he asked for money, and he never said he was a police officer, so it would only be considered an annoyance call. I knew the area code wasn't near any family, so I knew it was a scam. Hope this helps someone else.
