Spam calling saying a need to pay money for something I don't have with them

Got a call from ' Veritas Alliance ' claiming to be calling from Toronto, but the call display showed it as being from my own area code, which isn't far from Toronto. In my experience, that's the sort of thing that scammers do, hoping to get you to pick up because of it seeming to be a local call. My phone app says their number is 'Likely Fraud'.
And the BBB page for Veritas Alliance Incorporated says ' ! This business is NOT BBB Accredited. '

calling for something from 30 years ago. long written off. Maybe they are trying to make the debt active again? I don't know, but basically a nuisance call.
