Claims to be doing a survey about whether or not you have a landline phone, but doesn't clearly identify who is doing the survey or who is paying for it. I am always suspicious that this type of call may have the purpose of identifying seniors for follow up attempts at scams targeted specifically at seniors. Because of seniors disproportionately still having landline phones, as compared to the general population.

Spam calling saying a need to pay money for something I don't have with them
Got a call from ' Veritas Alliance ' claiming to be calling from Toronto, but the call display showed it as being from my own area code, which isn't far from Toronto. In my experience, that's the sort of thing that scammers do, hoping to get you to pick up because of it seeming to be a local call. My phone app says their number is 'Likely Fraud'.
And the BBB page for Veritas Alliance Incorporated says ' ! This business is NOT BBB Accredited. '
