Recorded message about fictitious criminal case

Automated call pretending to be from HMRC claiming they're investigating me for tax fraud and to press 2 to speak to someone. They're using numerous numbers. gov.uk are aware and you can report them online via official government website. Don't press anything, hang up. The voice message sounds official, but it's not!

Called today. Didn’t answer. They hung of when answer machine came on. Other sites say it’s a spam calll.

Can hardly speak English asking for meter readings . Didn't even know who he was calling .
