Got a phone call (3:03pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)
They, of course, left no message.
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

I'm going to
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
AND to
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.
(Yes I will go through all those steps.) [I have also bookmarked these URL's.]
I have also assigned a silent ringtone to this number. (I am up to 62 now.)
We should all pile on.

SPAM.

Robo-dialer calling numbers -- can detect voicemail and answering machines, and hangs up unless it detects a live answer, in which case you get switched to either an automated/recorded message, or sometimes a live scumbag - er - person.

Never follow their "opt out" instructions, either, as this only confirms your number is active, and will get you added to other call lists.

Received a call at 11 pm EST. Did not answer. Reverse number search shows a Verizon wireless phone service. Calling it back got a message saying mailbox had not been set up yet and to call back later. Smells of a scam!

The message said that they were offering a free cruise. I have been receiving calls from these folks one-and-off for weeks and, despite a request that they stop calling me, I keep getting calls.
