Received scam call from this number dont get hooked up.
I have also received more than 6 calls in one day. I'm about to answer the p phone with "FBI, Fraud Unit." Or, unleash my husband on him....doubt he would call again after that. This is so annoying, how do they get your number?
GUY CALLED AND TOLD ME I WAS RANDOMLY SELECTED FOR A GOVERNMENT GRANT OF 7K. HE TOLD ME AS I HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD AND PAY MY TAXES AND AM A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, BUT IM FROM IRELAND AND LIVE IN CANADA AND HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE STATES SO ITS DEFINITELY A SCAM SCARILY ENOUGH HE KNEW MY FULL NAME AND EVERYTHING.
HE HUNG UP AS SOON AS I CHALLENGED HIM
Just received a call from this # 202-836-9725 and they told me I have been selected to receive a one time grant of $7000.00. Um yes this drew suspicion to me so I looked up the number they called from and I seen all of your posting. Tell me why these people have nothing better to do than to try to scam you. WOW get a JOB. ow wait this is your job. Losers!!!!!
Man with middle Eastern accent telling me that my name was randomly selected by the government to receive $7000 in grant money. To be used for whatever I want i.e. Pay bills remodeling education etc. Sounds suspicious to me so I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.
Last time I got a call like this the guys said it was through the education department. He went over some questions a "supervisor" would ask and he gave me instructions on how to answer, exact words he wanted me to say. ( hello red flags) he wanted me to talk to his "supervisor and basically say I intended to use the money for furthering my education even though I made it clear to him I did not as I am disabled & can't work or go to school. I told him I wasn't interested several times and he tried to talk me into doing it anyway as it was "free" money why wouldn't I want to. Told him again I wasn't interested and that it sounded like fraud to me. He wouldn't take no for an answer so I hung up. He immediately called me back asking why I hung up & why I didn't want "free" money. I again informed him that him telling me what to say (lying) to his "supervisor" sounded like fraud to me and I hung up again.
