Scamming losers is who owns this number.
I have an unlisted number (part of the Verizon wireless network) that I use for business purposes. It is not listed. It IS on the DNC (lot of good that does!).
Received a call today from the losers that "hold" 213-289-3799 with a prerecorded canned robo-message about winning a trip to some place... Hit "0" (zero) and was disconnected. Tried calling back and there is a pleasant voice telling me that the number is disconnected...

HOWEVER - it should be noted that the disconnected message is NOT from the phone company. It is a pleasant female voice and sounds a lot like the typical phone company messages - but the phone company messages will usually (almost always) have a prerecorded message number (message 3515C) and will often repeat. Many also have specific tones that go before the disconnected message.

This means that the number IS valid and they KNOW that they are doing illegal calling and trying to hide.

They are losers and should not be in business, telemarketing their worthless junk.
