Received a call from this number. The area code is local to me. It was a man saying he was calling from the Veterans Assistance Foundation, looking for a pledge. He asked what I could give and I said not much. He then asked if I could give $20. I told him I'm a stay at home mom and that my husband makes the money. He asked if I felt confident about giving a $20 pledge, and I said if I receive info in the mail about it first. He then said, "Well, maybe next time you'll be able to donate," and then launched into a spiel about who the call was sponsored by: The Veterans Assistance Foundation, and then hung up. Not sure it was legit, but it doesn't sound like it if they can't send you something to read before donating. I'd say, beware.
