Recorded female voice said she was from the Internal Revenue "Services", not "Service" and they were going to file a suit in court. They don't notify by phone and have no need for lawsuits. They just take what they want.

I received a recorded female voice telling me I'm in arrears with the IRS and I can be arrested. It was necessary to call this number. So, I did. Someone with an Indian accent answered and I asked him what they were trying to pull. He asked what I meant and I told him the IRS doesn't phone, they use mail. I told him to remove my number from their list. I'm sure it won't do any good. The funniest part is that I'm old, retired, and don't even file a tax return.

Female, said case # is cf79621 from United States Treasury. Wants me to call back and if I don't, she wishes me Good Luck.

I got the same thing, even the same case number. Area code 347 is the Cayman Islands.

Oops. I misread the Area code table. 347 is not the Cayman Islands, it is Brooklyn/Queens, NY. So it is not a scam to get you to call and get a huge long distance phone charge. Just a regular "you owe money" scam!

May 11, 2016 - Caller was female, robo. Said 2nd attempt to reach me....will result in going before magistrate or grand jury. Call or have attorney call, otherwise good luck! So tired of these!

I got the same call as SickNTired. Said it was a second attempt and will result in going to a magistrate or grand jury. Call or have an attorney call otherwise good luck...said something else. Also I did get another call before this from a man. This one I laughed at. I am thinking of calling them and screwing around with them.

Said that I owed over $5000 in back taxes from 2013 and I had a warrant for my arrest. Said the police would be here in 30 minutes to arrest me. It's been 2 hours. I'm still waiting.This is BS, because as I am disabled and don't make much more than that in a years time Beware, Man-Mid eastern accent
