just got a call from this number. He said he was with government database company for homeland security. I need to hurry up and download a file so he could get on my computer to remove a virus. He even we as far as to say I need to do my duty to protect "Amurca". His accent was horrible. I had fun playing along and he got frustrated and hung up.

Caller claimed to be aware that my computer was infected with a virus and tried to convince me to go to a website www.aamyy.com and download software that would allow them to remotely diagnose the problem with my computer.

Microsoft OS under name of NELNET (NELNET is a legit student loan company out of Nebraska but no ties with Microsoft). Wanting access to my computer to "remote in" to fix spyware/viruses because Microsoft informed him that my computer had a problem. Big fat lie!!

It was a man with a Middle Eastern accent saying that he was from Windows and that my computer was infected with a virus. He wanted me to turn my computer on so he could take care of the issue.

Something about attacks on my computer. The caller, sounded like from India, wanted me to let him show me on my computer ti find or detect attacks on my computer. I have no idea, but I am pretty sure this was a malicious attempt to gain access to my machine. I listened to him for a minute and told him I wasn't going to fall for his scam.

Caller claims our number called 402-875-9195 for computer help; this is not true. Caller disconnects before I can tell them to NOT call back.

I got a call from 402 875 9195. The Caller ID said "NELNET". A man that sounded like Sabu from the Simpsons, said he was from Microsoft, and that I had a malicious virus on my computer. Sabu said if I downloaded some soft ware, and gave him my password, he could fix it over the phone. I knew this was a scam, and every time Sabu said something, I would say, "do you speak English?" I kept doing this over and over again. Sabu got so frustrated, he started cussing, and hung up. I have not heard from Sabu since.

I talked to a live person. he said he was with Microsoft and he wanted to access my computer. They received information that my computer was having issues. He was from India. When I told him this call was fraud and I was going to report him to the FCC, he hung up. I have heard from Apple computer owners they have received this same call about their Apple computers.

So I get a call from this number and the person on the other line made it sound like the issue was URGENT. He didn't ask who I am and he made the call very scary. I know better b/c I work for a computer company. I spoke to this representative and he told me that I downloaded a malicious virus when he gave the name of my mother and not my household. When trying to delay this man and told him I need to call him back because I knew this man and number is up to NO GOOD. He gave me this number "213 674 8586". I then called him back from my work number which is an 800 call center and he started doing the same thing w/o even asking who I am and verifying who I am. When I questioned behind his actions, he said that i was calling an unknown number and he will sue me and call the police department. WTF? EVERYONE BE CAREFUL THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMING AND TRYING TO HARM FOLKS TRYING TO HACK IN YOUR SYSTEM. ALSO YOU CANNOT FILE A STUPID COMPLAINT ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST BECAUSE THIS NUMBER HAS NOT BEEN REGISTERED FOR 31 DAYS. 402-875-9195...PLEASE CALL 213 674 8586 and ASK FOR MR JOHN AND PROSECUTE HIM THIS GUY WILL BE RUDE AND TRY TO THREATEN YOU!!!!!! The ring will dial more than 5 times so be patient and the asshole of a man will pick up!!!
