Repeated calls - finally picked up, and it was an automated caller - just got dead air.

Called my cell phone and when I answered got dead air.

Am on DNC list. They called, did not leave message when I didn't pick up. Tried to call back and received only busy signal.

Originally it was a recording stating that they were calling from cardholder services and wanted to offer to lower my interest rates. I dialed 1 to get through to the person to get them to remove me from their calling list…knowing that no bank would ever call on the phone and request personal information for this purpose.
When I told the woman that I didn’t trust to do this over the phone, but she was more than welcome to send me information in the mail, she went off on me. Some of the things that she said were:
“That is really sad that you live your life like that. Not everyone that calls is out to get you.”
“Your character is horrible.”
“You are an awful person. You should be ashamed of yourself for not trusting.”
“I hope you lose your job and end up on welfare.”
Then when I asked why she was treating me so horrible, she said “I’m giving you the same treatment you are giving me.” (Yeah right….)
I asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said “I AM THE SUPERVISER.”
I told her that no supervisor would speak to a ‘customer’ the way she was speaking to me.
She threatened to hang up several times, but never did. The only way I could get her off of the phone was to hang up on her.
A very upsetting and abusive phone call.

Please remember….no bank, credit card, etc will ever call you on your phone and ask for personal information. If you feel that it might be legit, ask them for the phone number to call them back at and for information to be sent in the mail.
