She kept saying she was from "a computer company." She claimed she was calling from London (the reason she was calling me before 8:00 A.M.) but she sounded like she was from India. In an internet search, other people have said the caller from this number sounded Indian and was calling to say there was something wrong with the recipient's computer. They also said that harassing calls will follow.

Said that my computer sent Windows tech dept an error message, and wanted to fix my computer.

To help clean up my computer from viruses

Said they where working with Windows Corp and that they had seen unusually high activity from Hackers and Virus in this area and they could show me where on PC this was happening and go in and fix it for me.

I would not go into my PC for them without proof and asked the name of their web site, said it was TEQSLY.com and of course it doesn't exist. He kept telling me they worked for Windows and they would send me to their web site after they fixed my PC. After much discussion and me refusing to go into my PC with out proof of who they are, they finally tried to sell me a Hacker Blocker for Life for 199.00. I hung up. The number on my CID for that date is 425-668-9652, probably fake.

Was saying they were associated with Windows and saying that there may be problems with my computer security. Didn't give them the opportunity to go on as I immediately thought it was suspicious.

computer maintenance service. the man, who had an Indian accent, said that he had remotely detected viruses on our computer, through an internal router. this is impossible, as our computer is too old for that to have happened. further, he said he is a subcontractor for Windows. now, even after telling him that our computer was working fine, that we didn't report any problems to Microsoft, that we do not operate a Windows computer, and that I knew this was a scam, he continued to tell me to go to the computer, so that he could "help" me fix the computer and remove the viruses. I did not do so, obviously, but i am absolutely sure that if i had gone to my computer, he would have had me contact him through the internet, attempt to solicit information about our identities, hack our computer, and/or infect it with viruses.
