When the call came up on my phone it registered as "cc327" and then the number of 469-965-4563. I of course didn't answer it and the caller is now blocked.

Additionally, SWA (or any other airline for that matter) will NEVER call you and ask you to come to a grand opening or promise you tickets over the phone.

It was very difficult to understand the caller. She was calling from a room with a lot of other telemarketers and she wanted to offer me a free trip if I came and looked at houses.

As everyone else, I was called by Jasmine with heavy accent saying she was with Southwest Airlines and wanted to invite me to the opening of their new reservation center in Richardson, TX (1751 International Parkway). I knew immediately that was not true, but carried on to see what it was, suspecting it was a travel club or timeshare. Asked for someone that I could understand better, after the third person with heavy accents, just did the best I could. After some questions, found out they work for Southern Journeys and we would sit through a 90 minute presentation of their travel club to get 2 round trip airline tickets. We have done this about 15 times with various travel agencies or timeshares, it's not really a scam, just hard sell - just keep saying NO and get your prize. While you need patience and a flexible schedule, you can use the prize - tickets, cruise, hotel, etc. It's never completely "free", always have to pay taxes, port charges but it is cheaper than paying full price We have used the airline tickets with or without hotel (5 trips), the cruises (4 times). Right now we have reservations for a hotel in Aruba next month, have to pay taxes, etc. but still cheaper than their internet price, not on the beach but looks ok online. I called the hotel to verify our reservations since I am always suspicious. The airfare was not included, but paid for that with credit card points, so a cheap vacation. Waiting now for Spirit Incentives to confirm dates for a cruise to the Bahamas, airfare to Florida is included. I don't say it is the easiest thing to do, but it is possible to get the prize - not in prime travel time, and maybe not direct flights but still cheaper than you can get otherwise. But if you can't say NO under the hard sell, don't go unless you want a travel club membership or a timeshare.

Since I am on Do Not Call list, and I have been flooded with scam calls from the local area this week, this is surely not legit.

As stated by others woman with accent called to sell travel event. I always tell them I stop calling me and it will be a cold day in hell before they get a bloody dime out of me, so they are wasting their time calling and selling my phone number to others. I also add, I am very happy to help land you a place in a prison somewhere if you keep calling. I signed up years ago and continue to verify my registration on the National Do Not Call Registry (www.donotcall.gov). When I receive calls like this I go to the National Do Not Call Registry and file a complaint and I also file a complaint with the Federal trade commission (www.ftc.gov). I also notify my State Attorney General's office via their website and register complaint. Those entities will track them down and work with local law enforcement to put a stop.

a woman with a heavy accent called me claiming to be from South West. claiming I was eligible for two tickets if I attend some opening in Temecula. She began to ask me too many personal questions such as, was i married and did my spouse live in the house. I hung up. She called back multiple times back to back. I blocked the number!

I received a call from 469-965-4563 and it was a pleasant woman with a thick eastern European accent. The very first thing that she told me was that she was a supervisor with Southwest Airlines. I listened for a minute, and was told that I won 2 free tickets on Southwest Airlines. I do play a lot of sweepstakes, so that's why I stayed on the line from the start. Then she started using the name Southern Journeys and I quickly realized that this was some sort of timeshare like scheme. I went along with everything until the end to find out the details/ They directed me to go to 1751 International Parkway in Richardson, TX. I thought they were going to ask me for a credit card number to hold or something, and I was going to use that as an out, but they did not. Then her "supervisor" called to confirm. She said her name was Victoria Lopez and she had an Indian accent. Definitely not a Spanish accent as you would expect from someone with the last name Lopez. SO I did NOT go - whether this is a real place or not, I would not be fool enough to go. If someone is on my phone lying about their name, and who they work for, and want me to show up at an address on a certain date and time..!!?? Hell no. How do I know there aren't people waiting to rob or kill me? If this IS a legitimate business, then they need to be on the up and up about names and such.

I got a call from a lady with a heavy accent telling me that I was being invited to a event where I would watch a 90 minute presentation and get two free round trip tickets from Southwest Airlines to anywhere I wanted for my husband and I. Seemed very suspicious so after my call with her she told me her confirmation manger would call me back to confirm I was going to assist the presentation. The name she gave me was Tony Tyler. I got the call from Tony Tyler, who also had a very heavy accent. I told him I was not I interested & I hung up. They called me back 7 times! Super strange....

They called me this afternoon. It was a man with a heavy Indian accent. He said he was calling from Southwest Airlines and I had won a free flight. I knew it was a scam because I already fly for free with SW. I politely told the man that I wasn't interested and he said "f*#! you mother f*#!er" and hung up.

they claim to be southwest airlines. and iit was a woman with an Indian accent saying I was guaranteed two free tickets if I attended something or other. Accent was hard to understand I couldn't get everything. Said no obligation no money - to just attend. I said "so youre southwest airlines?" She said we are with something travel or venture something... And then she's followed w/" I have an address for you ..." And then I hung up. Called back to see if I could get the name of the company when they answered since I could not understand the lady that called, however, and even though I called immediately after receiving their call, I got recording saying # was disconnected or no longer in service. Southwest and other airlines need to be notified; I would think!

Yes they called me today as well. They have probably heard similar language used from other unwanted calls made.

I got a call yesterday from an Indian-accented man saying he was from Southwest Airlines. toldl him I did not have time to talk and hung up. Today, same guy calls, only he said he was from Delta Airlines, I'd won two tickets to wherever I wanted to go, and he just wanted me to attend a 60-90 minute celebration. Told him I didn't have time for that, and I hung up.

Said she was Southwest Airlines and that I was invited to the grand opening of the new travel center in Sacramento. I had won two round-trip ticket. I just said I wasn't interested and hung up my cell phone.
