This person called me on Oct. 11 but I didnt know who it was so I did not answer

I have also been getting these bizarre calls. I got a call from 507-345-5596 on October 10th at 517 pm and i live in NY state, i havent even seen that area code before, but I answered. It was an automated message about my car's warranty expiring. i pressed "2" to speak to a customer service representative and i asked why i was getting this call. I have had my # for 4 yrs and i dont own a car so i asked the representative "How are you going to renew a policy on a car that i don't own?"

her repsonse? "I'm terribly sorry about the mistake ma'am, we have placed your number on a Do Not Call list so you will not be receiving any more of these phone calls, have a nice day" Click. She hung up before i could get another word in!...then i received 2 more calls like this today 10/28 when i was at work.
the first one was 847-720-3703 saying my car's warranty is about to expire and i didnt have time to talk/b**** at a representative for calling me again so i hung up. then i got a call from 239-489-3230 (John Mckelfresh?) in Florida...I was busy and couldnt answer, no voicemail was left. when i called the number back i got a message saying the number was disconnected, how is that even possible?

the store i work at has been getting these calls too, about 3 a week according to my manager, no one has any idea how they get ppl's numbers or what kind of scam this is but i do think something needs to be done to stop it

OK, here's the deal,

John Stark is not calling you. Go to SpoofCard.com and it will explain on a smaller scale how this is being done.

IF you are getting this call, especially if you are getting it every day or twice a day you must report this someone. I'm not sure who. The FCC, Police, FBI whoever. BUT make sure to tell them that the number that shows up on your caller ID is not the number they are calling from.

BUT BEFore you do that, next time they call get as much information out of them as you can about their company and what they are offering while giving away as little information about yourself as you can. Give them a false name. Ask who you are speaking to/what their name is. What the name of the company is, what their website is called. Ask if you can think about it and can you call them back on this number or a different number.

EVen better if you can record the conversation or at least put it on speaker phone so someone else will hear the conversation.

Put it all in your complaint.

This guy doesn't stop! I called it back and it says it's disconnected or not in service any longer... then how the hell is John Starke calling me all the time on my cell?!?!?!?!?! This really pisses me off! I am going to send a report to FTC.. FTC has to follow up on every complaint!

I got a call from this number 507-345-5596 regarding my car insurance. I have gotten this call tons of times in the past few months. Its so creepy. Especially now that I looked it up here and found this info....

I ran the name Steven Cordes in Lake City MN it came back with the number 651 345 5596! WTF this man is just changing the area code, so he clearly is stealing peoples identity and old disco phone numbers. You can go to www.whitepages.com reverselookup and put in any phone number and get an address. We use it when we are hunting down people who "forget to pay on their bail" lol. GL people. He hasn't called me back. Guess he's reading these posting and figures this bitch will hunt him down and kick his crazy ass!!!!

I am the real John Starke who is dealing with this person stealing my identity. If anyone has any idea how this is happening I would appreciate a post letting me know what is going on. I have been contacted by police in Minnesota and New York wondering what sort of scam I am running. I cancelled my home phone of 507-345-5596 5 years ago. Any one with any info I would sure appreciate it.

Must Be a scam or there would be a call back number. If you get this call do not pay any bills with your cell, or put any important card #s through text or they may be able to access this info.

Spoke with Officer Keith Mortensen of the Mankato MN PD. John Starke is the victim of Identity theft. They went to his home today around 11am. He has had contact from many other states police depts. Mr. Starke disconnected that phone number 5 years ago. The case number is 08-31811. The phone # to the police dept is 507-387-5601 if anyone wants to check up on me:) Off.Mortensen said the offender is probably using VOIP phone where he can set any number and name and address. He would like us to listen to what the man has to say act like we are interested so we can hear where they want the $ sent. Then call his vm box and leave the info. His vm box is 507-387-8700. I got a missed call from this number and when I called it back, it said it was disconnected.

I got one yesterday on my Verizon cellphone.

People I have a great plan I have located his address, and contacted the local police. Baing my authority I have brought this to their attention. My father is a retired chief of police who has also been called by this jack ass. If this is a valid address. I am willing to press harrassment phone charges within his local Revised codes.
