Calling to say we owe money on a contract that we closed out over 4 years ago

I called this number back and they said they represented Jefferson Capital. When I pressed further they said it was for Verizon. I haven't used Verizon in over 3 years, and told her I didn't owe anything. She politely said, "OK, Ma'am", and hung up.
