So, here's the scoop on maritz. It is not a scam. They are not selling anything. They only want to obtain opinions from consumers. Those opinions are collected and, in a computer, jumbled around in an amazing technological way and then sent to companies that have paid maritz to conduct surveys...most of which are kept confidential and are not submitted with a name. Then these companies use those opinions, feedback, complaints, praise...whatever the clients may have to share...to hopefully enhance the products and services they offer as well as to develop new products and services. The surveys usually last 3-5 minutes, never longer than 10 as a rule, and who doesn't like to have someone listen to them vent about their dissatisfaction? I have done these surveys and it's not a big deal or a huge inconvenience. It's just like going to a restaurant and filling out a card about your dining experience, only Maritz is saving people the pain of writer's cramp. The reason they are not limited by the do not call list is that their phone calls are not solicitation, nor will their calls ever result in a sales call. Honestly, they conduct surveys for companies who know that researching to find out what products and services their clients are interested in improving or enhancing will eventually improve their business. It's a 5 minute convo that will hopefully result in improved service to all kinds of consumers. In this day and age it's nice to know that these companies still value our opinions!!! And by the way...the people calling are super friendly and professional, as well as congenial, and remember they are people just like everyone else trying to make a living to support their families and such.

Every night around 2:30 a.m. - 4:30 a.m. we recieve a call
It rings once and no one is on the other end of the call. This needs to be stopped

Just got a call from 571-431-1960 .
No one spoke on the other side and I was disconnected .
Seached the internet, found 571-431-1960 belongs to Maritz Research..
Called their tollfree line , 877-462-7489 ,
left message telling them what had happened, asked I be removed from their phone list.

571-431-1960 -- calls me night and day, over and over again...phone rings about 3 times and then stops...I actually answered once and there was no one there.
Whoever these people at Maritz Research are, they need to be stopped from making these annoying calls.
