The consumer is receiving numerous calls from a company called Maritz, 636-203-7123. The caller ID says "Research". The company is trying to sell cars and would like to know what kind of car he drives. The consumer is on the Fed DNC list.

Please shut this stuff down. I go 3 calls from them today. Lots of complaints I found on this same number including for today with simple google search.

This caller from Maritz Research claimed to be calling from Bank of America. He confirmed my name associated with the phone number and asked for me name. When I answered affirmatively, he hung up. It would appear that this agency is seeking to confirm names and phone numbers. Don't want to sound paranoid, but there are companies who do nothing but confirm names, phone numbers, addresses, etc. Ostensibly this is to allow market research (but what about government surveillance or intrusion). I hate this sort of thing as it is an invasion of my space. There was no "survey" to do.... so I remain very suspicious about such activity.

I hate survey calls. They hound you to answer but I have my ringers turned off so I don't know when they call. Problem solved. At least until they figure out how to reach me on my onstar phone.
