These people keep calling my company and they claim to be Verizon. They are very rude and now they ask to speak with different departments, such as accounting or the comptroller, IT or office manager. They are a nuisance and my manager told me to just hang up. I wish they would stop calling, as they interfere with my job. Anybody know how I can block them from my work phone?

You can't block them... and you can't even nicely ask them to stop calling. This 646 area code is Americom Communications of out Fort Lauderdale, FL, website http://www.teamamericom.com/. The only thing I have found that works is by repeating the following phrase "I am unable to do business with 3rd party resellers". They will likely lie to you and say they are not a 3rd party and your reply should be "Well, your not Verizon, and since you are NOT Verizon, that makes you a 3rd party and I am not authorized to do business with your company". You can then tell them its a law to remove your number from their system and they have to do it or you can sue them if they keep calling back.

This is an absolute scam. These people claim to be Verizon Retention's, but they do not work for Verizon and are at best a 3rd party contractor that work for a number of agencies such as Americom, Vsolutions Provider, Masters, Shoretel, or others. These people are extremely rude, they will insist they work for Verizon, but when you bust them on their scams they hang up on you in mid-sentence. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Have been receiving calls from this so called Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Man on the other side of the line is chewing his food like a bovine animal and speaking at the same time. Horrible. Asked for something in writing and they refuse. So I keep hanging up. Simple.

A very nasty women continues to call our company to sign a new agreement, refuses to fax or email something over to provide to my boss who is never in at the time they happen to call.

Somebody called claiming to be a supervisor for Verizon. I wished her well and hung up.

Claiming to be representatives of Verizon to sign a new agreement since the old one has expired. The number they give leads to another spam number.
