I want to know how they get through my "do not disturb" setting that is set ONLY to receive calls from my favorites. Isn't that ODD?

Sounds to me like they're using illegal methods to bypass call blockers, privacy filters, do not disturb screens, etc. So, I wouldn't so much call it odd, as I would call it criminal. I suggest that you file complaints with the FTC, your State Attorney General, your telephone carrier, and the FCC. Maybe the police for good measure, if you feel you're being harassed.

Got a call just now from 731-256-9338. The wanted to speak to (my name) & I told her I needed to know more info before I told her about the call. She insisted on speaking to that person only! I still did not let her know that she indeed had reached me. She was getting so impatient with me! Who cares? Once more she insisted she speak to me & could not give out any information until she could talk with her. I start cackling like an old hen, I was laughing so hard. She then informed to had to end the call. Me, still laughing so hard, "Okay!" Call was ended.

Keeps calling me for someone else's debt. Everytime I tell them to stop they do for a week and keep calling back like we never discussed that they shouldn't be calling me. Blocked them at carrier level and via this app.

They just called me also. I've been getting TONS of calls DAILY from different numbers for at least 3 months now. I never answer those calls. I decided to request all 3 of my credit reports and all 3 are great.
I'm either going to answer next time or just block all of them... I haven't decided yet.

Buddahgrl.I think you need to CAREFULLY re-read that which I wrote. I in NO way stated to "give in" to these scrum. And, NO I do NOT work for them, I have strong morals, and empathy for my fellow man. I was a medical professional for thirty plus years, was suddenly brought down by a devastating medical problem which ended up crippling me, and I was forced into disability. I was financially ruined before I could get MY Social Security Disability benefits after three years, and having to take it before a Social Security Disability Judge, who ruled in my favor. Retirement is gone, savings are gone, everything I could sell was sold. My wife had to stop working to care for me, and two of our grandchildren. We are in debt over our heads, our live-in daughter & "fiancee"
contribute NOTHING, but eat our food, use our
utilities, and act like they own the place, but do
NOTHING to help us out & leave us to care for the
kids.We buried our other daughter two years ago, at
our & wife's parents expense. Our son does nothing to
help us out, but fans all over his in-laws, and only
brings our youngest grandchild by for short visits
about once a month, and won't let us keep her, even
for the day & won't tell us why. I've been sued by
scum sucking collection agencies more than once,
and I just am giving information on what you need to
possibly do. I can tell you that by telling them to stop
calling you, they will aggressively persue taking legal
action much quicker, and you will find yourself the
recipient of a court summons very quickly. IF you ignore a court summons, and fail to appear, the plaintiff (collection agency) automatically receives a default judgment against you, which is enforceable by garnishment, freezing and seizure of your bank accounts, seizure of your personal property, including your car, and liens placed against your real estate property until the judgment is satisfied. You MUST defend yourself against them in court, and representation by a good attorney specialising in defending against collection is highly recommended.

Bottom feeding collection agency using yet another of a multitude of telephone numbers at their disposal. These people will badger you relentlessly, and have absolutely NO empathy towards their
fellow man. It takes someone without
a human soul to work for collection
agencies, yet they will cry the loudest
if they ever find themselves in
financial difficulties.
These people will take you to court in a heartbeat, so beware of engaging with them, and if you find yourself served a court summons that you're being sued by them, DO NOT IGNORE IT! Show up in court, with an attorney! DO THIS, believe me, or they will get a
default judgment against you that
can be enforced by garnishment,
seizure of your bank accounts,
seizure of your personal property,
and liens placed against your
property until the judgment is paid off, which can amount to a lot of money, regardless of what you supposedly "owed"! I am speaking from personal experience, and am NOT an attorney, and do not give legal advice.

If you owe other creditors money and they have bought your accounts will they notify you by mail if they are suing you?

Do you work for this company it sure sounds like it ? Why would you tell people to give in to these people who do not follow the laws of collections. So no don't give them money ever. They have 5 days to supply you with a copy of the original complaint which they have never done. They call at times of the day which is also illegal, A legit credit card company will never call requesting money from you. They have been asked to stop calling and still have not again another law broken. Once you ask them to never contact you and remove you number they try to use another number. Don't they have it their system when they have contact with their victims. And you wonder why there is an $82 million dollar law suit against. them.

buddahgrl...Although I DO agree with you that they are bottom feeders and will use any means necessary to harass you the problem is this...if someone DOES OWE the money, by the no call laws, they are entitled to contact you. Just because you say, "Don't call me any more" it doesn't mean they have to stop. Now, there are regulations they have to follow about calling time and such but they can harass the hell out of you without any penalties. As for your response to daddyd01 I don't think you understood what he was saying. He was basically saying the same thing you were saying EXCEPT not to ignore any summons that might be served or sent. And before you accuse me of working for them I DON'T...never have worked for a collections agency. I have, myself, been in debt at one time and know the pain from the harassment.
