Called pretending to be from United Healthcare pre-authorization department and immediately asked for my birth date and address to verify my identity for security purposes. Seemed really fishy to me so I said it was a bad time and asked for a call-back number. She gave me a number that is definitely *NOT* UHC: 888-713-7380 extension 67744. Scam scam scam. Never give out personal information unless you can 100% verify who is on the other end of the line. Do not take them at their word that they are UHC.
