Started as Robo call stating USAA fraud prevention. stayed on line an "operator" answered. Wanted my name and then asked for year and make of one of my insured vehicles. My wife had the actual USAA Fraud department on her phone at the same time. USAA NEVER calls and asks for information. An hour later got a USAA TEXT which was an actual fraud alert. Was asked to confirm if I had made a charged. USAA NEVER calls and asks for information.

received automated call - 8002729440 and email total HTML hidden/junk not readable in text only mode --- usaa has never sent me such always can read their messages in text only mode; I've been USAA member for 50 years -- as members know usaa will never give you any other number except their local and their 800 --- go to web site - look in your messages center -- every email sent to you from usaa is there --- type into help ask fraud alert or fraud report the only numbers shown is the 50+ years phone number --- This is totally unlike usaa and stinks -- don't call --- ONLY CALL NUMBER ON BACK OF CARD AS USAA HAS ALWAYS SAID!

Scammer, wanted phone number, last 4 of credit card, full name and date of birth. DEFINITELY not USAA

i work for them, its a legitimate phone number for the fraud team. beware of scammers spoofing the number

Scam email. Not USAA. I called USAA on its "usual" trunk line and was told they had no record of sending me an email and the email address was not theirs.
