Fake calls from obviously computer generated voice claiming to be "Chase"...not "Chase Bank". Claims to be calling regarding my credit card for my Mariott account. Funny, I also got a text message from a random 5 digit number earlier in the week with something similar about a fraudulent charge at a candy store.
I don't bank with Chase, so nice try.
If you received a call from this number, it could be fake, however, this is Chase's REAL Fraud Department Number. If you received the call, a scammer could be spoofing it -- so to be safe, hang up and call the main Chase phone number listed on their website (or the back of your card).
Chase verified that this is their Fraud Department's number on their verified Twitter account: https://twitter.com/ChaseSupport/status/571762011199172609
I received a fraud notification email, which brought me to activityconfirmation.chase.com (legit site) and requested I call this number. I did and gave them my information to close the account and request a new card. I got paranoid after I hung up and called the main Chase phone number and they confirmed that the number I called was correct and that my account had been closed from the call I previously made.

I did the same. The fraud number was different from the customer service number on the back of my card. I called the fraud number first and gave them information. They said they were closing my card and sending another. I called the customer service number on the back of the card and verified that they number was indeed their fraud department. There was a fraudulent transaction in excess of $2000 on my account that they caught. The phone number is legit, but always better to verify
The call I received was from 800-935-9935 claiming that they were the "Chase Bank card fraud unit" reporting fraudulent activity and instructing me to call 800-454-9078.
Caller from Chase Fraud Prevention division. Stated call regarding charge on credit card with the account ending in XXXX. The charge was declined approval. The person identified name on card, but there is no account for the person named for the charge. This is a fraud/scam.
800-454-9078 is not a scam. I got worried and called the number on the back of my card and confirmed that Chase indeed had called me.
