i've never known a company to call anyone unless you are complaining or they have screwed up royal. calling for "info" seems very suspect to me. i really wish they'd stop, it so annoying.

I think it is a scam pretending to be Dell computer. They ask all kinds of questions that have nothing to do with what they might need for an order.

Phishing Scam!! Received a message from 1-866-228-9620 claiming to be Dell Financial services/Verification Dept Claiming they had an order from me. I ignored it figuring it was some kind of scam but then 2 days letter received another call from 1-800-456-3355. Called back and got through to a woman who informed me that I had ordered a digital camera. She then asked me for my Soc security #. I of course laughed at her and told her that Dell or any legitimate business would never ask for SS# over the phone and hung up.

I have this number as a business card from a rolodex I just took over/acquired . It's a Technical Support and Customer Service line for some company that didn't even put their name on the card... Must not be too great of a company!!! I'm going to be throwing this card away as soon as I post this message.
