I returned a call to 1-900-481-4999 ext. 421 and spoke Tyra. She said she could get me a better deal for phone service if I switched from my current landline carrier,Frontier, to So. Calif. Telephone Co. According to Tyra, I was eligible for Senior Super Savings which is half of what I pay Frontier. Thankfully a red flag when up and ,before I made any commitment, I said I had to ask Frontier if they authorized this. I called Frontier and they told me this was a scam and that Frontier does not own So. Calif. Telephone Co. as Tyra informed me. Whew - I'm glad I called Frontier to check before committing to this scammer. This is outrageous! My next step is to call the CA Better Business Bureau.
Same "Jackie" left that message and same 800 number We are also on the DNC list which doesn't seem to matter to anyone due to lack of enforcement
Caller left a message saying they were "Jackie from the Southern California Telephone Company" calling "regarding your Verizon monthly residential bill", but I do not have a Verizon monthly residential bill. Did not respect "Do Not Call" list. Also, although they called using a caller ID of "Temecula" from 1-951-719-8700, the woman gave a callback number of 1-800-481-4999 X430
