The call tonight was at 8:43pm
This is ridiculous. My phone history shows only back to the beginning of June, and I've received calls from this number approximately 4-times a week since June, 16 2014. I have never answered their calls, because I've been through the BS with a host of other telemarketers/scammers. Well after reading on the internet last night, that they've been up to this since 2011; I answered tonight. Well really, my fiance answered the call for me. The man on the other end of the line said, "How are you tonight, XXXX XXXX (my finances name)?" They called my number, not hers. She's freaked out! After telling them she had no desire for a cruise, and hanging up politely. I called back from my number, and they asked for her. I told him they'd just called and all that was said, so he asked if I'd like a cruise. No, I said; how did you get this number? He said that they were affiliated with a company in which they get people's numbers, who may be interested in a cruise. What companies are you affiliated with? He replied, "American Express, Verizon, and Amazon are a few that exchange information with us." I told him that I'd been receiving calls since June, and I wasn't interested. He asked, "would you like to be put on our do not call list?" I began to reply, unsure of whether I did or not, but I proceeded to tell him yes; and said good night. Now if they call tomorrow; all hells going to break loose in me.
Always the same thing. Scam to win a free cruise.
They call me twice per DAY, has been like that for 2 weeks now.
Called my home number at least 2-3 times a week for couple of months. Extremely annoying. I am trying to find the company responsible for this. But no luck. Can anybody help to stop the nonsense.
its a scamboffering a free cruise
They called several times in the last few weeks. Trying to dial back in the hope that their will be a cancellation option, a system says this number doesn't exist.
Of course, they say, "You won a cruise...". One time, the caller was human and started talking about a cruise "that I had accepted". My answer, of course: never mind.
But the automatic system called again a few minutes ago.
