SCAM! Got an email saying my payment was past due. No it wasn’t. I bought 1 item and paid for it in full a long time ago. How interesting that it’s people from INDIA are taking our customer calls and handing the information to thieves from their own country. Macy’s, get your act together! I never responded to the scammer and blocked the email address it came from, which is: DoNotReply@info8.accountonline.com

I just received a call saying my payment was past due, but it is not due until June 21, 2022. They said they can take the payment free of charge over the phone, I decline and hung up b/c first of all I could barely understand what the man was saying to me.

Showed up as Macy's on caller ID. Since we just bought something there, wondered if there was a recall or something. There was a long pause, the kind that tells you a robot called you and is not contacting someone on the other end. Almost hung up but...Recalls sometimes use robot dialers to reach people.
But, the INSTANT the woman opened her mouth with a THICK barely understandable Indian accent claiming to be collections for Macy, I hung up since A. We're on autopay. B. We JUST bought it so nothing is due yet. C. Nothing could have gotten to collections 7 days from purchase. We already blocked them before coming here to check things out. Sorry to see these assholes are bothering other people too.

guy up therse

these are scammers using cheap labor from india and elsewhere to try to extract info from thousands of americans. i think they have a list of american sounding names to give to you everytime in front of them lol. unfortunately according to statistics about every 1/however many people fall for it so they can keep getting money.

please just be smart, make your payments yourselves online or in person if you do have an outstanding balance and run these guys out of business.

these people are scammers, just give them fake information and play around with them if you get a bang out of that like I do. check your own damn balance to see if your late and make the payment online or in person people, not give your social to some goddamned stranger working in a scam scheme.

Absolute scam. Asks for my Macy's credit card number, my phone number and social security number. I have 2 separate incidents of these people calling me over the last year. They say they can't remove my phone number until I give them this information. LOSERS!!! For the 2nd time, I have called Macy's and given them all of the information I could get from in this case, "Kenny Summers".
