Same thing. The problem is that if they are a legit 501(c)(3) organization, they are allowed to make the calls.
This is a scam by an organization in "Germantown Maryland" has computer voiced response. Than transfers to a telemarketer who will ask for a nontaxexempt donation. Pretty slick and speaks softly to make it sound professional. Multilingual English, Spanish, Chinese and German. Won't provide any tax information other than 501C IRS. Slick as they come.
John Alexander from disabled firefighters wants a donation to help first responders. Won't provide IRS tax exemptions number. Major Scam in Florida.
