Caller stated that customer wanted to verify my phone number. Then caller went on to ask for my name before disconnecting call.

Signed up for Fios online and recieved a call within 30min of order for install date reminder. Legit call but the website security is not too great. You can probably sign up your neighbor for new service.

Verizon sent me an email with the above telephone number. The email said that they sent mail which the US Postal Service sent back to them. Honestly I find that hard to believe. I have not had a verizon account in over two years.

Caller claimed that Fios installer had messed up and technician had to come over and fix things or my bill would be $700. They would not give me any real details but said that the tech would be coming by in a half hour to an hour. This was at 6:15pm. Never known a phone or TV tech to work that late except after a storm. Was very scketchy, so called Verizon to verify. They has no note of anything like this dealing with our account.

Interesting scam if I could figure out what they were after.
