Another bogus call where a person in India (claimed to be "Peter Jackson" calling from Salt Lake City) says their server is getting errors from Windows computers that will crash if they do not "help" us fix them. Caller ID said "SunTel." I asked for his name and address and told him that I would put him on hold for an hour so he wouldn't be able to bother other people while stuck on the call with me. He hung up.”
Same caller number and 'Suntel' as everyone else lately.
Hey, I'm 67 and hubs is 68 and we don't fall for this garbage either! We never answer the house phone anymore -- turned ringer OFF so we're not disturbed -- rely on Caller I.D. to show who's calling. Jerks never leave a message -- so no more problem. Check answering machine now and then to see if anyone DID leave a message. Ans. Machine is on 'low' so you'd have to be on top of the phone to be disturbed if a message is left. Wonderful peace and quiet -- the dog loves it -- no more rude awakenings due to ringing phones.
Claims to be calling regarding my Dell computer. When I started talking, he hung up!
I received a call from 831-612-3098 with the caller ID name of Suntel. The guy started off by saying he was calling me regarding my Dell computer and messages you have been receiving on your computer. I said, "there is nothing wrong with my computer and I would appreciate you not calling me anymore". Phone went silent and he hung up. This number has called more than once so, I blocked that # from being able to call me.
