Yes. They called 7:56 am; on 1/23/16; I was barely awake. She said that Microsoft had received a recent signal that my computer was being hacked by Russians. She sounded- perhaps Filipino. I've had a lot of contact with MSFT recently- while installing Windows10- and 6/7 calls were made to the Phillipines. And, I did have a computer problem 2 days ago. It shut off, and would not accept my password. I had to call MSFT for a password reset.

So, the story she was telling had some plausibility. I asked for her phone #, so that I could call her when I had fully awaken. That # is
914-499-8210. When there is suspicion- always ask for a call-back knumber.
I called that last number and a foreigner answered- could have been from
the Phillipines. He was surprised and taken aback; he feigned knowledge
of a problem that I had. I told him that,"You are busted, and I'm going to report your number."

The caller has changed their name and it now shows on caller ID as Cintex. They called at 7am panicing saying they needed to speak with me right away as his company works with Windows 10 and that they were receiving calls that my computer was being hacked right now. Older people will fall for this scam.

Someone (Sounded like Indian, from India) called stating my computer is being hacked and want me to go to my computer so they can access it and fix it. Yeah, RIGHT, you think I was born yesterday?
I got this system from Best Buy, and have antivirus software installed. I told them their caller ID said Unknown from Aptos, CA. I told him that Microsloth is located in Redmond, WA, not Aptos CA. He continued to press the issue, and told him he was full of s**t, and, I wasn't going to let him access my system. I told him to get a real job & not call me again.. The number is now on my blocked list.
