Spectrum calls using many different numbers, spoofing locations by using various area codes, to include my own & the first three digits of my local phone number. This is a shady way of doing business, what they don't realize, that they're not the only player in this area, we have two other choices.
They (Spectrum) calls & leave voice mails breathing into the phone & saying nothing, they'll sometimes hang up as soon as answered, if lucky will tell them not to call back unless it's service related & they refuse the request. Will simply swap numbers. With all of their technology, it's not hard for them to use VPN services & Skype to spoof local numbers, anything to catch customers off guard. They also use phone numbers assigned to random citizens to trick consumers into answering.
Spectrum is leaving a very sour taste in my mouth, if one has a choice, I advise to take the competition, even if it's a $10/month increase. The service & quality of product will likely be better, and there won't be 4-5 calls every week, to include late night (after 10PM) and on Sunday mornings, as though it's a business day. If not mistaken, this is a violation of law, only the shadiest of debt collectors stoops this low. It's not like my bill is past due, always paid well in advance.
Their calls are borderline scam, the FCC should do something to stop Spectrum & other such providers from harassing phone calls. Some of us have government issued cell phones w/out unlimited minutes. No legit corporation should be leaving voicemails breathing into the phone & hanging up, as though a stalker. Once, this was on a Sunday morning just before 11AM. Spectrum employees involved in this has no morals whatsoever, being they don't respect a Holy day, surely doesn't fear repercussions from the FCC & other authorities.
Calls everyday, hangs up when answered.
Kohl's once every day, when call is answered they hang up immediately
